GEM OF A SEASON EVENT
Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2 pm

Admission: Included in Gem of the Season ‘22 subscription, $20 advance, $25 at the door, $5 students

THE LUMINAE TRIO, based in New York City, is committed to combining traditional works with lesser known music of the past and present. Individually, its members lead active performing and teaching careers and have performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and Asia. While they have played in many traditional settings such as Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium, the United Nations and the Kennedy Center, they also enjoy playing in non-traditional settings and have recently done a number of live-streamed and recorded performances. The Luminae Trio, composed of pianist Jestin Pieper, cellist Jacob Nordlinger, and violinist Elizabeth Wright, formed during the Covid-19 pandemic as a response to the need for keeping the arts alive during this trying time. The inception of the Luminae Trio reaffirmed their commitment to chamber music as a means of collaboration and communication. They actively research and present the works of underrepresented composers and are dedicated to making this music known.

This event has been brought to our community in part by the generous contribution from: Crystal Lumber, Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Northern High Lights, and Snyder’s Drug Store
